Shalta/Aroch Ward is one of the five wards of the Citadel, named twice out of a linguistic quirk now lost to history. It is thought to possess a subdued and calm nature in opposition to its prestigious and glamorous peers, Zakera and Tayseri wards.

Aroch College hosted the first Non-Council Integration Conference in the year 2188.

Also in that year, a Shalta/Aroch ward adjutant proposed immigration and traffic restrictions in response to spiralling crime rates.

Known locations[]

  • Aroch College
  • Citadel's Finest Chocolate Shoppe: A dessert store in one of the less prosperous Aroch neighbourhoods. Its storage room hides the entrance to a massive illegal weapons stash.
  • Lemhezi's: Confection shop. "Home of the only decent faldabis on the Citadel"
  • Shalta/Aroch Point, which faces towards Earth.
  • Systems Alliance Research and Developments labs, that closely work with the military.
  • A shop on Shalta/Aroch, used as a front by an asari supremacist organization and situated in a lot of abandoned buildings, was visited in 2196 by Nara T'Cyone and Valen Hossfeld. Much of this shop was a labyrinth of tightly-packed aisles. Stone totems of Thessia's tribal ages were intermixed with ivory statues, faded memorabilia from the early Biotic Games and linens of malyk fur. All of the items sold were from the asari's pre-spaceflight days.
