An author of some note. She was known for her works being frequently nonsensical, only making sense if read in two languages or more, and more often than not, revealed to be pointless somewhere near the end. To quote Lessan Vadarat:

"One of the more common criticisms of her is 'why the fuck was she allowed to go nuts with her writing like that?' The answer? Reach Unending."

Reach Unending defies most notions of 'genre'. It's typically classified as Fantasy, but only tentatively, and has been reclassified seven or eight times, depending on what interpretation is favoured at the time. It's considered amazingly well written and tightly plotted.

Actual buildings (the Stadium D'Aethyn and Holyado Tower, both on Illium) were made using schematics extrapolated from the book.
